brief history
The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Tishreen University was established by Decree No. /2259/ dated 10/12/1980, which stipulates the commencement of studies in this faculty at the beginning of the academic year 1980/1981, and the application of the applicable rules and regulations in the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Tishreen University .
College goals
1. Preparing engineers in various fields of mechanical, electrical, electronic and marine engineering necessary for the sectors of the national economy and services, and qualifying them with a high level of knowledge and skills to keep pace with the progress of science and technology.
2. Advance and participate in scientific research and studies related to the various mechanical, electrical, electronic and marine disciplines, and contribute to scientific and technical progress, especially what aims to find solutions to various issues facing economic and social development in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Arab world.
3. Advance postgraduate studies in mechanical, electrical, electronic and marine specializations and cooperate with various scientific, industrial and service institutions to find optimal solutions to the issues facing this institution.
4. Developing research and teaching methods and methods, and teaching principles, including the development and translation of university educational literature, and the creation of laboratories necessary for scientific research.
5. Contribute to qualification, training and continuing education courses.
6. Consolidating the rules and values necessary to build a unified Arab socialist society, and stoke the students' militant spirit.
7. Educating the student's personality, an integrated education, scientifically and socially, and developing his love for work and scientific research.
8. Directing students towards the optimal choice of activities that they will practice.
9. Encouraging cultural, artistic, social and sports activity.
10. Strengthening cultural and scientific ties with Arab and foreign universities and scientific bodies.
11. Achieving the highest level of interaction between the university and the community.
