Vision & Mission
The Faculty of Informatics Engineering at Lattakia University is looking forward to the advancement and development in the various informatics sciences and their applications, to be a pioneer in the field of information engineering education at the local and global levels, and also to be a pioneer in the field of scientific and applied research and to provide the community with specialists able to contribute to the continuous development and development The goal is, with commitment to international quality standards and professional controls, and for the college to be an important partner in raising the scientific and research level, and localizing and developing information and engineering technologies to effectively contribute to the development of various aspects of society. The college aims to:
1- Teaching and training students in engineering principles and methods, including mathematics and sciences, necessary to analyze and solve problems, in addition to improving students’ professional abilities in the direction of analytical and creative thinking.
2- Cultivating ethical values through an integrated educational educational climate with engineering and educational programs.
3- Preparing specialists in information engineering, especially in software engineering, information systems, computer networks, artificial intelligence and information systems, by qualifying students and providing them with a high level of knowledge in their field of specialization in line with the rapid global technological and scientific developments, in order to qualify them to meet The needs of society in various areas of development.
4- The latest approved standards, in a manner that serves the scientific and practical interest of students, professors, college, university and society.
5- Advancement and participation in scientific research and various studies, which contributes to scientific and technical progress in the fields of information engineering, with the aim of preparing scientific researchers and finding solutions to various issues facing scientific, economic and social development in the Syrian Arab Republic and
6- Providing continuous education to the community and disseminating engineering knowledge in the public and private sectors with high quality, through short courses, workshops, conferences, consultations and lectures.
7- Develop research and teaching methods and means, including university educational literature and their translation, and push the process of Arabizing higher education forward in its various existing institutions in the Arab world by creating the Arab scientific book and unifying the Arabic scientific term in a way that meets the requirements of high quality.
8- Strengthening cultural and scientific ties with Arab colleges and scientific bodies in particular, and foreign scientific bodies in general, working on the establishment of specialized scientific conferences and contributing and participating in various conferences, scientific symposia and scientific research seminars that are held locally, Arably and internationally in the field of technological sciences in various its specialties.
9- Achieving a high quality of interaction between the college and its various departments and the institutions and organizations in the community whose tasks and objectives are complementary with those of the college and its objectives.

The Faculty of Informatics Engineering was established by Decree No. 15 of the year 2000. It includes specializations in the field of software engineering, information systems, computer networks and artificial intelligence. The college is distinguished by distinguished youth, good professors, and students capable of scientific and intellectual excellence. Through its vision and mission, the college hopes to achieve its goals in the field of localizing engineering information technologies and providing what is useful in the service of the community.
