Latakia University and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in Sudan signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding areas of cooperation in supporting sustainable agricultural development and building human capacities in the fields of agriculture, natural resources, and the environment.

The memorandum was signed by the University President, Dr. Iyad Fahsa, and the Organization's Director, Professor Adam Al-Dukheiri, with areas of cooperation including qualification and training, community service and rural development, in addition to academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise and knowledge.

The signing ceremony was attended by the University Vice Presidents for Scientific and Research Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Haroun, for Administrative and Student Affairs, Dr. Munther Asaad, and for Open Education Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Akroush, along with the University Secretary, Mr. Mustafa Fawwal, Professor Ali Musa, Consultant and Expert at the Organization, Dr. Osama Radwan, Director of the Arab Technical Institute for Agriculture, Resources and the Environment, Dr. Khalil Abu Afifeh, Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Nabil Abu Kaf, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, and Ms. Juliette Nassar, Director of International Relations at the University.
