The participation of Dr. Rula Aliou, a faculty member at the College of Nursing at the University of Latakia, in the final stages of the Best Global Health Developer Award represents a qualitative addition for the University of Latakia on an international level.
Dr. Aliou explained that achieving an international certificate in this field—the first participation of its kind for the University of Latakia at this level—was the result of years of her adopting a project to develop promising and leading student health leaders from various medical specialties, improving quality, and participating in a number of international conferences and projects. She highlighted the necessity of developing a culture of compassionate leadership, kindness, and humility within her philosophy, which is based on the harmony of spirit and mind as an essential foundation for knowledge.
This achievement is considered a starting point towards numerous privileges and projects, such as recognition and appreciation on global platforms. It also represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and create change with a team of international experts in the field of health development.
Dr. Rula Aliou's participation constituted a remarkable achievement in reaching the award for the Top 30 Global Health Developers, presented by the British Medical Journal (BMJ Group) and the American Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), and reaching the final five positions worldwide in the Compassionate Leadership category.
We wish Dr. Rula continued success and brilliance, and we extend our appreciation and gratitude to everyone who contributed with their voice to help our university reach this global level.
