The Faculty of Medicine at Latakia University, in cooperation with the Latakia Blood Bank, launched a blood-donation campaign on the occasion of the Liberation Anniversary, with wide participation from administrative staff, students, and employees, in addition to interested members of the community.
The campaign aims to strengthen the blood bank’s supply and provide sufficient quantities to meet patients’ needs, thereby contributing to supporting health services and responding to emergency cases that require swift intervention.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Malik Hijaziya,
explained that organizing this campaign comes as part of the university
activities marking the glorious Liberation and the victory of the Syrian
revolution, and reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the health
sector and enhancing the role of academic institutions in serving the
community. He affirmed that the participation of staff and students in donating
blood demonstrates a spirit of cooperation and humanity, and directly
contributes to saving the lives of many patients in need.
