Today, Latakia University hosted the head and
members of the Engineers Syndicate in Latakia to familiarize students with the
syndicate’s roles and activities.
The Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Dr.
Sami Sheikh Deeb, praised the role of the Syndicate in supporting graduates
during their careers and entry into the labor market, in accordance with their
rights and duties, and in preserving their practical experience after
graduation.
For his part, Engineer Sadiq Matrajji, Head of
the Engineers Syndicate, pointed to the economic relief following the lifting
of sanctions and the important role of new graduates in the reconstruction
process. He emphasized that the Syndicate is a place of safety, stability, and
credibility for engineers in their work both inside Syria and abroad. He called
on new graduates to join the Syndicate in order to take part in the nation’s
rebuilding efforts.
Members of the Syndicate outlined the role of
the Engineers Syndicate in advancing engineering work and facilitating entry
into the labor market during this critical stage, which requires the efforts of
all to keep up with the latest developments in engineering sciences and
technologies. They emphasized the importance of preparing graduates and linking
them to the job market.
The introductory meeting focused on the work of the Architecture Committee in training newly graduated engineers through specialized training courses that grant engineers professional ranks and official documents in accordance with the regulations governing the committee’s work, along with continuous technical and specialized qualification programs.
