The University Council holds its session headed by the University President, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim

Tishreen University Council held its session today, headed by the university president, Professor Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim, who thanked the President of the Republic, Dr. Bashar al-Assad, for the trust he had given him to manage the university, wishing him success in achieving the university’s goals.

The President of the University, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim Al-Sayed, also congratulated the Minister, Dr. Bassam Hassan, on assuming the position of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, wishing him success in his duties.

During the meeting, many issues and matters related to tests and evaluation of the scientific aspect in the university’s colleges and some scientific, administrative and service issues were discussed.

The university president pointed out the necessity of working as one team in order to improve the educational and research reality, stressing the necessity of intensifying efforts and working at the college level by drawing up strategic plans, preparing schedules for scientific activities of various types, forming department councils, and reviewing the study plans in the colleges in a manner that is consistent with the university’s needs.

He pointed out the necessity of holding scientific conferences during the year that highlight the scientific and cultural harvest of each college in terms of research, works and results, and setting strategic plans for master’s and doctoral theses to preserve the scientific and academic body of the university and focus on distinguished research papers.

At the end of the session, the council members congratulated Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim on assuming the duties of the university presidency, wishing him success in managing his duties.
