Under the patronage of the President of Tishreen University, the Faculty of Informatics holds a scientific day entitled Applications of Artificial Intelligence

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Bassam Hassan, President of Tishreen University, the Faculty of Informatics Engineering held a scientific day entitled Applications in Artificial Intelligence

The university president pointed out the need to pay attention to the field of information engineering as it is one of the attractive colleges and has a promising job market locally and among the best in the world, stressing the importance of involving college students in completing applications that meet the university’s needs in various fields, especially automation and archiving.

Dr. Hassan pointed out that artificial intelligence is a specialty that is sweeping the world and has important applications, pointing to the necessity of accelerating the establishment of a doctoral program in artificial intelligence at Tishreen University to keep pace with global developments in this field and to prepare for organizing scientific conferences on artificial intelligence with the participation of distinguished scientific research.

Dean of the College of Informatics Engineering, Dr. Ahmed Ahmed, indicated that the scientific day aims to open channels of communication with students and researchers outside the borders of the country and to cooperate with software companies, noting that the Artificial Intelligence Department was opened in 2008 to be a partner for other departments and a lever in the future of the college.

The Dean of the College noted that work is currently underway to register master’s theses in artificial intelligence with a high scientific level, in addition to research recorded from colleges that use artificial intelligence techniques. A group of researchers participated in the scientific day and gave a presentation on the most important and latest applications of artificial intelligence, its working principle, and the stages of its development, in addition to Presenting some of the results of their research in this field with master’s and doctoral students.

The Scientific Day activities were attended by the Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Scientific Research, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim and Dr. Muhammad Nasser, the Head of the Higher Education Branch Office, Dr. George Esber, the Head of the University Teachers Syndicate, Dr. Abdul Karim Hassan, and a crowd of researchers and students.
