Under the patronage of Lattakia Governor
Eng. Amer Ismail Hilal and in the presence of Tishreen University President
Prof. Dr. Bassam Hassan, the scientific symposium entitled "Modern
Technologies in Engineering Project Management and Their Applications" was
opened in the Governorate Building with cooperation between Tishreen
University, Lattakia Governorate, the Engineers Syndicate and the Junior
Chamber International (JCI) within the construction technologies project
launched by the participating parties in the project. During which, the Dean of
the College of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. Bassam Sultan, emphasized on the importance of transferring modern
technologies by faculty members at the university, which contributes to
enhancing innovation and engineering development. Prof. Dr. Rana Mia, Head of
the Department of Construction Engineering and Management, spoke about the
project’s objective of transferring knowledge and modern technologies in
engineering project management and the importance of coordination between the
parties concerned with developing and successfully implementing engineering
work.
The symposium included lectures by
professors from the College of Civil Engineering and a presentation of the
experiences of local companies in engineering project management applications.
It also included a dialogue session with representatives of the parties
participating in the project on activating engineering project management
applications in the labor market.
The construction technology project
includes a second phase that includes training to enhance the skills of
graduates and engineers in the labor market, from which about 100 engineers
will benefit.
