The Robot Club at Tishreen University achieved a remarkable achievement with the participation of its distinguished students in the field of mechatronics in three engineering projects under the scientific supervision of the Club Director, Dr.

- Amin Haidar, Hassan Al-Waraa and Ali Youssef, students in their third year of mechatronics engineering, implemented the dual arms project, which won third place in the conference.

- Haidara Mahrez, fourth year, and Jaafar Raqmani, Khader Issa and Laith Jumaa, third year, participated in the swarm-slam robots project.

- Majd Zahra and Mohamed Madaniyah, students who graduated from the drone project.

Dr. Issa Al-Ghannam said that in each of these projects, different mathematical models were made for each system, merging and applying specific algorithms, and various software environments (MATLAB, ROS, Rviz, and Qt) were used to simulate these systems and algorithms and effectively apply them practically. Various (raspberry, arduino, beaglebone blue) programmable boards, OpenCV libraries, and advanced programming languages ​​(C++, python). The work in each group was divided into partial tasks and a time plan was set for their implementation. We encountered difficulties in practical implementation related to the quality of the parts available in the local market and the lack of parts available from another party. Dr. Issa referred to the role of the university and college administrations in supporting the club and facilitating the arrival of the parts and equipment it needs in order to maintain the quality of the projects presented through it at the level of Syrian universities and educational institutions. On the other hand, he stressed that participation in this type of high-level conference on topics related to advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and robot systems is a basic goal of the club’s goals, as it allows for the exchange of experiences and positive competition, and puts the robot club in  correct place.
