The first meeting of the National Technology Transfer Committee for the year 2023 was held on Monday, June 12, at the headquarters of the Higher Commission for Scientific Research, with the participation of Tishreen University. Engineer Aziz Asikriyeh, Director of the Technology Transfer Office at Tishreen University, gave an explanation of the procedures that took place at Tishreen University during the last period of the office’s work, and the challenges. He also reviewed a number of evaluated researches that constitute promising investment opportunities.
At its meeting, the committee discussed a number of important files, including a form for evaluating the economic feasibility of scientific research outputs, a guide to procedures for protecting and investing scientific research outputs, and a draft technology transfer contract between the researcher and the investor, as well as ways to overcome some obstacles.
The meeting was attended, in addition to members of the National Office for Technology Transfer in the Higher Commission for Scientific Research, representatives of a number of public and private universities, ministries, bodies, research centers, and chamber federations in Syria.
