Under the auspices of the President of Tishreen University, and on the occasion of International Traffic Day, a scientific symposium was held in the conference hall on May 31 in the Faculty of Civil Engineering, organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Tishreen University with the Department of Transportation and Transportation Engineering, entitled "Traffic Safety is Everyone's Responsibility" in cooperation with the Syrian Society for Prevention From road accidents and the Lattakia Traffic Branch, with the aim of raising awareness and educating about traffic safety to make it a societal situation and work on integrating the roles of all parties and the civil society to enhance it

The symposium was attended by the President of Tishreen University, Dr. Eng. Bassam Abdel-Karim Hassan, a member of the executive office of the transportation, construction, construction and electricity sector in Lattakia Governorate, Mr. Duraid Markoush, the head of the Lattakia Traffic Branch, the head of the Syrian Association for the Prevention of Road Accidents, and a number of specialists in scientific and traffic affairs in The university, the governorate, the traffic branch, and a number of engineers from various engineering institutions concerned with the matter.

The symposium began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs of the homeland and the victims of the earthquake, after which the Dean of the College of Civil Engineering, Dr. Eng. Jamal Omran, delivered a welcoming speech to the attendees, after which the symposium began with the speech of the Syrian Society for the Prevention of Road Accidents, Eng. Ahed Rajab, then Brigadier General Bassam Saud, Head of the Traffic Branch, continued Lattakia A talk about the integration of the traffic branch with the private authorities in managing the affairs of the governorate in a manner that guarantees traffic safety for all, then followed by a lecture by Prof. Dr. Bassam Sultan, Head of the Department of Transportation and Transportation Engineering, on the importance of traffic signs, followed by a lecture by Prof. Dr. Shatha Asaad about assessing the reality of traffic safety on the network The streets of Lattakia, and the lectures were concluded by Eng. Samer Zureik, Vice President of the Syrian Society for Road Accidents Prevention Branch in Lattakia, entitled Improving Traffic in the City of Lattakia.
