The activities of the annual environmental conference are just one land

On the occasion of World Environment Day and in the presence of political, administrative and trade union leaders at Tishreen University and a crowd of researchers, interested people and students from inside and outside the university, the activities of the Scientific Conference of the Higher Institute for Environmental Research at Tishreen University were opened on Monday 6/6/2022 under the title: "Only One Land"

▫️The Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Hajar Nasser, spoke about the beginning of environmental conferences at the global level, which takes June 5 of each year as World Environment Day, and said that after 50 years of the three global crises represented by: climate change and the loss of animal diversity The continued exposure to the threat of pollution and waste made the slogan more relevant than ever, and she explained that environmental conferences are an important platform to raise awareness and provide inspiration for positive change.

▫️The National Center for Energy Research also participated in a speech recorded by its director, Prof. Dr. Yunus Ali, and Dr. Yunus indicated that the issue of the environment is one of the most important topics raised at the scientific and human levels, as the issue of preserving it has become an obsession and a top priority and international directives, which has become most Countries depend in their policies, directions and economic programs on the principles of sustainable development, which consider preserving the environment and natural resources as the essence and content of this development.

▫️ For his part, the Director of the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mieh Al-Ay.Ra, an intention in Lattakia, Ali Reza Fadawi, confirmed that their participation in this conference comes within the framework of the serious scientific relations between the two countries, because it reflects the desire to enable the bonds of cooperation that require more efforts to accomplish aspects. Renewable cooperation in all scientific and cultural fields.

▫️ In his speech, the director of Re’ayati, Dr. Yassin Muhammad Al-Ali, said that preserving the environment includes the entire community and does not fall on the responsibility of an individual or a group of people, so we must cooperate to preserve it. He also stressed that the theme of World Environment Day this year is “Only One Earth.” It is a reminder of the need for urgent and necessary global intervention to address climate change and the problems that our planet suffers from, such as the rapid loss of agricultural biodiversity, the increase in recurrent and long-term droughts, the exacerbation of food insecurity, water scarcity and fires in some regions with frost waves in others.

▫️ In turn, Professor Dr. Bassam Hassan, President of Tishreen University, indicated that this beautiful and large crowd of researchers and interested people confirms the interest of the university and researchers in scientific research, and in development in all directions of knowledge. He also stressed that the strategic vision of the Higher Institute for Environmental Research is to be a leader for research work in all aspects Environment, which is an incubator for research at the college level, the surrounding area, and the Syrian Arab Republic. Dr. Bassam, the opportunity to thank President Bashar al-Assad for the decree to expand university staffing and to bless Tishreen University with this decree.

🔹 A documentary film about the Institute's activities was also shown, and a number of students who published their research in international scientific journals were honored, and Reayati presented honorary shields to Tishreen University and the Higher Institute for Environmental Research for the efforts made to complete the conference.
