Engineer Ali Ibrahim, a graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, won the third place in the Al-Basil Exhibition for Creativity and Invention in its 20th session, which was held in Damascus a few days ago.

The project aims, as engineer Ali explains, to bring about a qualitative, technical and artistic shift in the reality of paving works in Syria through the use of concrete cemented with Madahi as a new building material locally, in order for this technology to constitute a real substitute for the asphalt mix, which the paving works in our local reality were limited to its use only.

He points out that the use of compacted concrete will open huge horizons for public and private engineering companies to benefit from this modern technology locally in construction projects (roads, dams, squares and parking lots...) of all importance.

Because it can be fully implemented from locally available raw materials, especially when using recycled pebbles in its production (which increases the economy of this product and contributes to the sustainability of natural sources of pebbles as non-renewable resources, and also helps mitigate the environmentally destructive effects of the accumulation of demolition debris). .
