Today, 5 halls equipped with computers and technologies were opened at Tishreen University, as part of the Emirati Education Knights initiative, which is implemented by the Emirates Red Crescent to provide the university with supplies that support the educational and research process in it.
The halls were distributed in the central library .. Sheikh Zayed Hall and Abu Dhabi Hall, which contain 100 computers, in addition to 3 halls in the Higher Institute of Languages equipped with 75 computers, in addition to equipping other halls, which are under construction and delivery within a short period.
The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, drew attention to the importance of the role played by the UAE in providing requirements for training students at the undergraduate level and students of studies and the completion of scientific research.
The President of the University, Dr. Bassam Hassan, confirmed that the support provided by the Emirates Crescent constitutes a qualitative addition of study and research to Tishreen University, pointing to the need for cooperation to be continuous and in more fields.
The Governor of Lattakia, Amer Hilal, also thanked the UAE for its initiatives in providing relief and humanitarian support to Syria within the initiative of the Gallant Knight 2, which contributed to providing aid to many sectors in Lattakia Governorate.
The head of the Emirates Red Crescent delegation in Syria, Muhammad Al-Kaabi, explained that the opening of the halls today is one of the initiatives launched by the Gallant Knight initiative within the 7 halls that are being equipped at the university.
The delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent also honored the Director of Public, Cultural and International Relations at the University, Dr. Sawsan Ghazal, and the Head of the Engineering Affairs Department, Eng. Sari Eido, for their efforts and cooperation with the Emirates Crescent to accomplish its work and initiatives at the university.
The opening of the halls was attended by the head of the Lattakia Governorate Council, Tayseer Habib, the deputy governor, Firas Al-Sousi, the head of the Student Union branch at the university, Tariq Alia, and the vice-presidents of the university.
